Final reporting on projects within RJ's various focused initiatives takes place in two ways.
One report submitted covers the financial aspects; the other, the academic report, describes the research results. Examples of subjects addressed in RJ's focused initiatives are the Riksdag, taxes, and governance and scrutiny of the public sector. All the academic reports are posted on RJ's website.
The academic and financial reports on projects must be submitted by the date specified in the contract concerned. They are submitted by the project leader through RJ's website.
To submit a final report on how the grant was used, log in with the project leader's username (email address) and password. Fill in the particulars requested and end by clicking on 'Submit'. One hard (paper) copy of each final report, financial and academic, signed by the project leader and the grant administrator, must also be submitted to RJ.
The final financial report is submitted by the project leader in a special section. The online form also makes it possible to comment on the final financial report.
The final academic report must give an account of the results from the project and end with a list of all the publications from the project. One copy of each monograph and anthology generated by the project must be sent in to RJ.
The easiest procedure is to prepare the academic report and list of publications in a Word document and then paste it into the correct page. This report must be provided both in Swedish and in English. Note that the system can handle plain text only, i.e. no italics, heading formats, symbols, formula characters, images or tables.
The final academic report will be posted on RJ's website in its entirety. It must comprise at least 5,000 and not more than 10,000 characters (including spaces, excluding the publication list) per language and form a coherent whole.
The following points must always, as a rule, be included. They may be supplemented by matters specifically relating to the form of support.
- Purpose of the project and how it has developed during the project period.
- A short description of how it was implemented.
- The project’s three most important results and contributions to the international research front and a discussion about this.
- New research questions generated through the project.
- The project’s international dimensions, such as contacts and material.
- How the project team has disseminated the results to other researchers and groups outside the scientific community and discuss and explain how collaboration has taken place.
- Publication list and links to own websites. Please use headings to provide an easier overview (e.g., monographs; articles; textbooks; websites including Wikipedia; debates; popular science publications). Mark what is published using OA. (Note that researchers receiving RJ grants from the 2010 application round must publish their peer-reviewed writings in journals and conference publications through open access, so that they become freely available online. As such, indicate how open access has been ensured.)
