Erik Rönnberg’s Donations
These scholarships are to support young researchers' scholarly research on ageing and age-related diseases.
In 1992, RJ received a donation from the farmer Erik Rönnberg of Fagerdal in Hammerdal. This donation was given to support young researchers' scholarly research on ageing and age-related diseases. Two years later, RJ received another donation from Erik Rönnberg for research on early childhood diseases. Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm nominates scholarship candidates and the scholarships are awarded every three years.
For scholarly research on ageing and age-related diseases: the scholarship is SEK 300,000 per year and researcher. For scholarly research on diseases during early childhood: the scholarship is SEK 200,000 per year.
