RJ’s measures related to the Covid-19 pandemic

2022/02/14

RJ has taken several measures in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

RJ does not want grant recipients to be negatively impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. We are addressing this through measures that will apply to all projects (except for RJ Programmes) funded by RJ throughout 2022.

RJ wants to make sure

  • Researchers do not need to repay funds for such things as unattended conferences or unused travel that are not refundable.
  • Applicants that need to apply for additional funding to arrange a new conference, for example, in cases when a current conference has been cancelled and for which they have already received funding, can apply for a grant for the new conference when the time comes. Explain in your application why the existing funding was insufficient, for example, that the funds were frozen or costs increased, because of the pandemic.
  • Grant recipients that need extensions to the period for which the funding is available can apply for this once it is relevant. Explain in the application why the pandemic has caused the need for an extension.
